IRF Rafting Guide, Safety Kayak, Rescue 3 Workshops

Workshops for Rafting guides, Trip Leaders and Whitewater Rescue 3 Technician Pro will be hosted from Adventure Net during season 2020. The first two will be conducted according to IRF standards. Since 1997 the International Rafting Federation is recognised as the world governing body for Rafting Sport, while main focus for the organization is the safety while practicing rafting, both as commercial and sport activities and events. This is why each year are arranged several workshops and assessments all over the world, which have to keep high level of safety and professionalism in this sport.

All candidates will need to provide a full valid first aid certificate including CPR. All candidates will also need to provide up to date logbook or experience letter.

Workshop II: White Water Rescue Technician for Professionals. Rescue 3 Europe

3 days of intense internationally recognised Whitewater rescue for river professionals The workshop finishes with exam.

All candidate should be up to 18 years old, confident swimmers with white water experience (raft guide, kayaking etc.)

Workshop III: IRF Workshop + Rescue 3
Rescue 3 Training provider: Karma Turismo Activo
Dates: will be announced soon  Duration: 6 days

Intensive 6-day workshop that will give you the opportunity to gain some excellent training & experience.

Price: 300 euro per person.
All candidates will need to provide a full valid first aid certificate including CPR. and to provide up to date logbook or experience letter.

 

IRF exam

Assessment for raft guides and trip leaders in the last day of the workshop.
Price: 50 euro per person.

All candidates will need to provide a full valid first aid certificate including CPR, up to date logbook or experience letter.

An additional tax of 30 euro should be paid on spot for logistic costs.

The cost does not include the following:

· Travel costs to & from Adventure net rafting centre
· Food & Accommodation (available through Adventure net rafting centre)
· IRF Admin fees
· Personal travel & medical insurance.

Each participant should have:

– First aid certification.
– Full equipment (paddle, helmet, life jacket, throw bag, knife, and flip-line). If you need any equipment, we can provide it upon a request.

Additional information: The Whitewater Rescue Technician – Professional (WRT-PRO) workshop is designed for professional river users who require a rescue capability in a whitewater environment, eg. raft guides, safety kayakers. Recreational paddlers should take the WRT-REC workshop.

International Rafting Federation Fee:

In order to be included in the IRF’s guide database, each participant hat to pay registration fee to the IRF. Guides: 60$, Trip Leaders: 90$.
You need to provide to your Instructor the following information:
· Your date of birth
· A current Red Cross first aid certificate (FAC) or equivalent with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
· Log book recording each run, signed by the Trip Leader or Operations Manager of the Company.

Accommodation & Food during rafting and kayak workshops:

· Tents & cabins in Adventure Net rafting base camp
· Local hotels and family houses in the nearby area
· If you need reservation or some other equipment – please contact us .
· Dining options in the region – at the Adventure Net camp, local restaurants nearby, or self-catering in Kresna and Simitli stores. You could buy and prepare food yourself as well.
· Oshtava mineral baths are near the Adventure Net camp.
