The first rafting club in Bulgaria
Kayaks, according to the performance, are used for water tourism, for descending fast rivers, for expeditions or for fun.
They are mainly divided into 2 types – classic kayak and seat-on-top kayak. In classic boats, a syringe (diaphragm) is used, which covers the opening of the boat where the rower is sitting and thus in case of strong excitement no water enters the kayak. Classic kayaks are used in competitions and expeditions, as well as for descending rivers.

History of the Kayak
How and where did the kayak appear?
The kayak is a small, man-powered boat. It was originally created by the natives of the Arctic, such as the Ainu, Aleutians and Eskimos, who used (and still use) it to hunt in inland lakes, rivers and coastal waters of the Arctic Ocean, the North Atlantic, the Bering Sea and the North Pacific. ocean. These first kayaks were built from sewn animal skins, most often seal, on a frame of pieces of wood brought from the water. Archaeologists have found evidence that the kayak has been used for at least 4,000 years.
