If you are looking to combine the Easter Holidays with nice adventures and activities – you will definitely like this program! We have chosen for you great variety of activities in the beautiful Bulgarian nature – Kresna Gorge area, together with great food, traditions and visit of nice heritages and places.
Kresna Gorge is famous with its beauty, flora and fauna diversity. The gorge has been formed by the Struma River and is situated in south-western Bulgaria. The gorge is with a transitory Mediterranean climate, as it is located between the Central-European and Mediterranean climate zones. That’s why the area is a habitat for some endangered and rare animals and plant species.
At the same time the gorge offers various options for eco-tourism and sport activities. You are welcome to spend the Easter Holidays at our Rafting Base Adventure Camp and Kresna Gorge area.
Price includes:
- 2 nights at Rafting Base Adventure Camp, overnight in tents (tent, sleeping bag and mat are provided).
- 1 night at guest house in Bachevo village.
- Eggs painting according to the Easter traditions in Bulgaria.
- Rafting on Struma River with full equipment, professional rafting guide and insurance included.
- Mountain Bikes – full equipment provided.
- Kayaking on Struma River with full equipment, professional rafting guide and insurance included.
- Horse riding.
- Visit to Rila Monastery, Healing Mineral Baths, Sheitan Dere.
- Visit of Deshka’s house – learning about the Bulgarian traditions.
- English speaking guide during the trip.
- Transportation and transfers.
- Food during the whole trip – including Easter breakfast and lunch.
* The program is for a group of minimum 4 people.
The Self-Guided tour is for the people who prefer to be on their own, and it’s suitable for less than 4 people as well 🙂

Tour Plan
1
Day 1
Departure in the morning. Visit of the Rila monastery (part of UNESCO World Heritage). Around noon arrival at rafting base – camp Adventure Net. After break, fresh drinks & snacks, you will meet our team and will get ready for Rafting – equipment and instructions. It’s time for the descent itself – hour and a half emotions into the most interesting rapids in the river. After this adventure we are going back to the rafting base (by bus), where a delicious home-made food will be waiting for you! For recharging we have planned a visit to healing mineral baths in the area. Dinner and overnight at the rafting base in cozy wooden bungalows.

Day 2
The start will be a delicious breakfast :) Preparations for kayaking, equipment, instructions, descent. Going back to the base (by bus), where you will enjoy delicious lunch and rest into the pine forest around the camp. In the afternoon you could choose from eggs painting according to the Easter traditions in Bulgaria, walk to the Sheitan Dere, or eco trail in the region with picturesque views. Dinner and overnight at the rafting base in cozy wooden bungalows.

Day 3
The beginning of the day is with an Easter breakfast which includes traditional kozunak (Easter sweet bread) and fight with our painted eggs. Now it’s time to begin our mountain bike tour We have chosen a picturesque route in the footsteps of Pirin mountain. The lunch will be picnic, so you will be able to enjoy the beautiful Pirin mounts. We’ll provide you bike, helmet, guide among the tour, support with bus through the whole day. Overnight in guesthouse in Bachevo village, and dinner according to the Easter traditions – with baked lamb, and on the chardak.

Day 4
Breakfast with a view towards 3 mountains. Get ready for your next adventure – enjoy the landscape and the horse riding. Afterwards you will try spinning on a distaff, crocheting on 5 crochet-hooks, making your own pusheta (souvenirs made of wool), weaving on a loom and of course taste the local traditional cuisine at Deshka’s house. The lunch will include vegetable soup, roasted vegetables, ‘dupeni’ upside down baked potatoes, sausage, bӧrek, curd, elder blossom juice, wine and rakia. Departure to Sofia.
